David and Maghnus bring the same honesty and energy they depend on in their expeditions to their talks.

Using lessons hard-learned and stories hard-earned they bring you into the adventurer’s world for an often brutal, sometimes funny but always inspiring journey. They pare back their story to its bare bones and in doing so highlight how even the grandest ambitions are realised only through teamwork, careful planning and persistence

They say that people can pretty much achieve anything they want to if they put their mind to it and that a leaders job is to help people achieve things they never thought they could. I recently invited Maghnus and David to speak at our annual management conference to illustrate this point in light of what can only be described as their remarkable life achievements to-date.  To say that people were inspired is an understatement – their down to earth no nonsense approach left people in the room truly believing that achieving anything is really possible if, in the first instance, you commit yourself fully to the task, and, in the second instance, worry about how and when it will be achieved. A truly uplifting and valuable session which I have no doubt the delegates at the conference will talk about for years to come.

As part of our ‘Inspire’ series of talks you have set the bar very high for others to follow. From a company point of view, your question ‘why we do what we do’ was a real lesson all companies need to understand.

The guys’ story encourages students to look at their strengths and build on them. It helps them to see the practical personal relevance of studying and always trying your best. They tie in information about culture, diet, survival, staying on task and making it happen for you. It was a huge success and the clear conclusion was that the students were motivated to take on their own challenges and adventures!”
